Hello Darkness #23

Hello Darkness #23 is a summer issue of horror comics, four stories in one slim package, with a mix of old-fashioned dread and something stranger and hungrier.

In "Sunday Pt. II," Ryan North and artist Giada Belviso follow a Bride of Christ as she slides into madness. Then Rich Douek and Stevan Subic head west, where a cocky young gunfighter goes looking for a showdown with "The Man Who Outdrew Death."

Kelly Williams's "Old Wounds" takes the book to the water. A grizzled lighthouse keeper hears the call of the sea one last time, and the story sinks into cold, salty depths.

The issue closes with a preview of the erotic thriller Gastronomique, by Marguerite Bennett and Helena Masellis. Lady Charlotte, a royal spy, hunts the deadly cannibal Tarrare in a game of cat and mouse.
