Hell's Horizon

Al Jeery is one of the guards assigned to protect The Cardinal, who rules the City. When he is taken off his post at Party Central and sent to look into a killing, a surprising find at the crime scene forces him to doubt the principles and loyalties he has always lived by.

His investigation draws him into a disturbing puzzle that involves a grisly run of bodies, the Incan ancestors of the City's people, and The Cardinal, a towering presence who is not easy to read. At the center of it all is Paucar Wami, an assassin so rarely seen that many treat him as a legend. Wami follows no authority and takes lives as he pleases, with no fear of being called to account. He moves with an eerie, unmatched grace that makes him almost impossible to pin down.

As the case deepens, Al begins to see how much he shares with Wami, a connection he never expected to find.
