Hidden Enemies

This pairing of inspirational romantic suspense stories comes from two authors who have both landed on the New York Times bestseller list. In each novel, a man and a woman face threats from people working in the shadows and must rely on each other to survive.

In the first story, Deadly Connection by Lenora Worth, Officer Belle Montera is set upon while heading to interview US marshal Emmett Gage. She wants to ask him about a DNA match linking his cousin to an old cold case and a recent killing. Belle and her K-9 partner are forced to join forces with Emmett to track down the cousin and the person who came after her. The question is whether they can identify the person hunting her before they become victims themselves.

Explosive Situation by Terri Reed follows Detective Henry Roarke, who wants to clear his name in front of internal affairs investigator Olivia Vance. First, he has to survive a bomber who has him in his sights, along with his explosives-detecting dog, Cody. Olivia is expecting a child and has an investigation to carry out, yet she soon finds herself in the bomber's crosshairs too. The pair must stop the bomber before anyone is killed.
