Hike

A walking holiday in the Swiss Alps is meant to be a getaway for sisters Cat and Ginny and their husbands. The mountains offer spectacular views, but the trip also gives the sisters a chance to rebuild a bond that has weakened over the years, while both couples are struggling to hold their marriages together.

The group sets out in good spirits, but the route grows harder and the light begins to fade. Exhaustion sets in, and a sense that someone may be following them adds to the unease. Stranded on a narrow, dangerous ridge, the four hikers fall into bitter arguments that end in a catastrophe.

Only two of the four walkers make it back down the mountain. When police begin questioning them, their accounts of what happened do not match up, and the officers grow suspicious. What really took place on that ridge, who the survivors truly are, and what they are hiding are the questions at the heart of this story.
