Hunger

Trevor Davis is a family physician in Phoenix, Arizona, and he is in a comfortable relationship with Melanie, who promotes a weight-loss medication for a pharmaceutical company. That changes when Shannon, a striking sales representative for a rival weight-loss drug, starts stopping by his clinic. Smitten, Trevor begins prescribing only her product and lets Melanie slip to the background.

His contentment does not last. A friend of his is seeing a pharmaceutical representative who is also named Shannon, and the two women share a birthday. Trevor draws Melanie into his inquiry, though she is hesitant to help, in an effort to learn who the woman he has been seeing really is. Then Melanie ends their relationship in a voice mail message and is gone from Phoenix by morning.

Trevor becomes convinced that the drug maker that sent Shannon to town has taken Melanie. As he searches for her, he uncovers something that could cost both him and Melanie their lives.
