Hunter Moon

Life as a teenage girl is hard enough, but this narrator has it worse: she is a werewolf who has only recently learned it. Her transformations come with the full moon. Her family's ancestors bound their line to a sworn duty with the Hounds of God, a werewolf pack that works under the Catholic Church. The Hounds have long opposed witch covens that aim to hand the world to Satan, whom she describes as a literal fallen angel, not a symbol of evil. Those covens send creatures in many shapes, and the Hounds hunt them.

Her father was one of the Hounds. When she was about three, he and her mother were killed in that fight. She keeps a photo of them by her bed and holds onto a recurring dream about her mother. She was raised by her maternal grandmother, Nonna Rosa, with her Uncle Vito and his family in the same house. Only Nonna knows what she is. The narrator admits that she did not believe any of it until the night she tore apart her high school librarian. She knows there is far more to learn, and that many dangerous things want her dead. Her goals are to survive, to uncover what truly happened to her parents, and to avenge them.

This is the second book in the Grazi Kelly series, following Wolf Moon.
