I Can Help!

Princess Truly is a character who enjoys lending a hand to the people around her, and this title shares her story in rhyme for children who are just starting to read. It is part of Scholastic's Acorn line, an early reader program for kids who are still learning to read.

The book contains three short tales. In the first, Truly pitches in on a friend's moving day. In the second, she uses her magical curls to clean up a smelly park. In the third, she helps a farmer locate his missing tractor key.

The stories are funny and encourage young readers to believe in themselves, build confidence, and feel good about who they are. Every page has full-color illustrations and easy rhyming text, which should help new readers grow their confidence and fluency. Fans of Ada Twist, Scientist may also enjoy the way these tales spark imagination and curiosity.
