I Could Be

This is the first board book in the Gizmo Girl line, written for toddlers who are starting to dream about their futures and who enjoy STEAM subjects. It introduces Josephine, the younger cousin of Geraldine, the heroine of the award-winning Gizmo Girl picture books. As the newest member of the series, Josephine is eager to explore the world and is already curious about science.

During an ordinary day, Josephine starts picturing the work she might do when she grows up, and each idea grows out of something she already enjoys. Whether she is caring for animals, stacking blocks, digging for rocks, or drawing funny monsters, she asks herself whether she could become a veterinarian, architect, geologist, astronomer, engineer, animator, botanist, or video game designer.

The book shows young readers that science can be found everywhere and that the world is always changing and developing. Sol Regwan, the author of the Gizmo Girl series, hopes the youngest scientifically minded children will see themselves in Josephine and start wondering what they might become.
