I'm Up!

Each morning, or whenever a little one wakes from a nap, this board book offers a cheerful way to greet the day with the words "I'm Up!" Along the way, readers see a busy world: birds, a trip to the park, a playful pup, and parents who are still very sleepy.

Written for babies and the grown-ups who read to them, the book celebrates the start of the day and everyone and everything that gets up each morning. Its repeated shapes, words, and phrasing help babies pick up new vocabulary and familiar routines during story time.

Antoinette Portis illustrates the book, and its simple text and lighthearted tone should appeal to fans of Sheep in a Jeep, Llama Llama, and Leslie Patricelli's board books.
