In a flash

Ian pulls off his first flash mob without any help: a pillow fight in a department store with more than sixty participants, lasting about four minutes. His friend Oswald is delighted by the stunt. Julia, the girl Ian most wants to impress, thinks flash mobs are a silly idea.

Determined to change her mind, Ian starts organizing flash mobs with a political angle. Julia, meanwhile, is locked in her own conflict with the new principal at their school, a man known for strict rules. Her campaign ends badly when she pushes too far and is suspended.

Her suspension gives Ian an opening for a flash mob that is both timely and convincing.
