Inappropriate Magic

Chauncy was meant to be a wizard who saves the world, but when destiny first came to his door, he sent it away and took an ordinary job instead. Twenty-five years later, destiny is back and refuses to be turned down. Chauncy is knocked out, bound, and carried off, leaving him no choice but to finally embark on the grand quest he has spent decades avoiding. The trouble is that he doesn't believe in magic and has little faith in destiny. If he fails to fulfill it, the world he knows will end, and even if he masters the craft he should have learned long ago, it may already be too late.

This irreverent fantasy romp mixes comedy with adventure and follows a reluctant hero who would rather be anywhere else. It is written for readers who enjoy humorous fantasy with a rebellious, unheroic protagonist.

The book comes from Clayton Wood, who is also the author of the Runic series, the Fate of Legends series, and the Magic of Havenwood series.
