Insatiable

Catriona Cameron never applied to Floodbane Academy, yet a scholarship to the elite boarding school arrives anyway. The school is a castle on the Isle of Skye, and she will be one of just six girls walking its cold, unfriendly corridors. Her new life seems to come as the answer to a wish, and in this story every wish has a price.

Catriona only wants to keep her head down. Then several of the boys at the school attack her and make cruel wishes about her. The wishes work as a curse. She becomes strikingly beautiful, finds she has strange powers she can't predict, and is gripped by a hunger she can't control: the urge to devour anyone who preys on women.

Each feeding makes the next craving stronger, and the bodies pile up. Catriona begins to wonder whether the thing inside her is any better than the boys she is hunting. This Gothic horror novel asks whether punishing the wicked is worth losing the part of yourself that makes you human.
