Into the Shadow

Adrik Wilder can take the shape of a sleek panther, a gift that may just as easily be a curse. Convinced that his soul is dark and that nothing will change it, he turns his back on his family and gives up his honor. He then throws himself into a life of wrongdoing and proves very good at it.

His worst act yet is to kidnap Karen Sonnet, whom he means to use for his own ends. She does not behave like a victim he can simply control. Her courage and fire unsettle him, and for the first time he wonders whether the curse his family carries is as absolute as he has always believed.

Then a new evil rises, and Adrik has to decide what he really wants. He can pursue revenge against his enemies, which might also win back his lost soul, or he can try to save Karen from the danger now closing in on her. This paranormal romance puts a shapeshifting antihero's chance at redemption in the hands of the woman he wronged.
