Iph'ithule
About This Book
Iph'ithule Nyathi cuts herself to drown out the torment inside her. Though Nkosilathi Mathuthu is locked away in Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison, he feels each wound and bruise as though they were his own. Her abuse and anguish hit him just as hard, yet the two have never met. He knows her only from his dreams. Nkosilathi is serving time for the cold-blooded killing of his brother. When he is released, he is deeply unsettled, and the voices in his head grow louder each day. He believes an ancestral calling is pushing him to act, and that his own sanity depends on finding and freeing the young woman who haunts him even in broad daylight. Her muffled screams, her suffering and her captivating beauty have carried him through more than fifteen years behind bars. What he does not know is that Iph'ithule is the main attraction and biggest earner at a gentlemen's club run by his mother, Sonia Mathuthu, a politically connected woman he despises. Freeing Iph'ithule means confronting Sonia and the powerful men whose secret sexual activities and shady deals could be exposed. She needs him to win her freedom, and he needs her to keep his sanity.
