Jaded

Jade Morgan has one clear wish: that her parents will reunite. Her father has other plans, though. He is engaged to his new girlfriend, who has asked Jade to serve as a bridesmaid, a request Jade finds out of the question.

Her boyfriend, Terrence, keeps urging her to make an effort with her future stepmother and get to know her. Jade, however, hardly knows Terrence himself. He is attractive and easygoing, but it seems he is keeping a secret. He is constantly busy and has never invited her to his home, so Jade senses that something is going on. The story explores how friends, family and boyfriends can let you down in ways that leave you disillusioned with life.
