Jemima J

Jemima Jones carries roughly fourteen pounds more than she would like, a fact her flatmates never let her forget. They are slim and sharp-tongued, and they treat her as their household drudge. At the Kilburn Herald, where she works, the glamorous Geraldine is the one who gets the credit and the bigger paycheck, despite having less talent. Food is the only comfort Jemima has, along with a secret crush on Ben, a charming and attractive colleague.

Change feels overdue, and it cannot wait much longer. Yet can Jemima really remake herself, and is reinventing herself the right path at all? The novel follows her as she wrestles with these questions, exploring desire, fixation and what true love really means.
