Joint Custody

Gatz is a dog with a plan. His two favorite people have split up, and he refuses to accept the arrangement they settled on: The Man looks after him from Monday to Friday, and The Woman has him on weekends. Convinced the pair belong together, Gatz sets out to reunite them by whatever means a dog can manage.

Some of those means are reckless. He knows chocolate is dangerous for dogs, yet he swallows two pounds of it anyway, a stunt that very nearly costs him his life. To him the risk is worth taking if it brings his humans back together.

Gatz sees what the two of them seem to miss. She is an editor and a social butterfly, while he is a writer and about as introverted as a man can be, and the contrast strikes Gatz as a perfect match. Just as he decides the chocolate disaster still left him time, a handsome, kind and apparently flawless newcomer, New Man, enters The Woman's life. Gatz has to raise his game and turn to increasingly desperate tactics. This is an offbeat romantic comedy.
