Jump Cut
About This Book
Ray's plan was neat and simple. He would fly to India, look after his father for a while, then head back to his life in San Jose, with his father joining him a couple of months later. Instead, his father dies, and Ray writes it off as plain bad luck. Then an old friend tells him what really lay behind the death, and the story turns strange. Ray is pulled into the shady side of the Tamil film world, where he comes up against a man who will do whatever it takes to get his way. Now Ray has a choice. He can return to the carefully built life waiting for him in the US, or he can drop everything and confront the person who wrecked his father's last days. Jump Cut mixes humour, emotion and suspense in a way that resists easy labelling, and it builds to an ending with a twist at the very last moment.
