Just Enough Magic

Aspen Hadley, a Whitney Award nominee, tells this story through Kayla Benson. Kayla's first encounter with Alexander Drake is a glossy magazine cover in Financial Life, where he looks too polished and wealthy to be real. He turns out to be a flesh-and-blood man, and the future brother-in-law of Kayla's closest friend, Lucy.

Kayla considers herself an authority on romance, and she is used to being the one who gets admired rather than the one who does the admiring. When Lucy introduces them in person, that changes quickly. Readers who enjoy clean contemporary romance full of witty back-and-forth will find a reserved, gruff hero and a sharp-tongued heroine at the center of the story.
