Karma Ledger

Taro Matsunaga lives on the fringes of Nexus-Hub, scrubbing malware, cracking systems and ROM-flashing the dead. The work pays just enough to keep him alive while he watches a better life from the outside. The system has flagged him as a zero.

Then he meets Allison Banks, codename DANDELION, a precise and untouchable data broker from Gantry Palisades. She offers him a job that could buy his way out and give him a chance to strike back at the corporations draining Nexus-Hub. It is the opening he has been waiting for.

The deeper Taro goes, though, the more the job starts to rewrite him. Lines blur and protocols bend, and Allison grows harder to read and harder to resist. A system cannot be infiltrated without it infiltrating you in return, and Taro has to wonder what will be left of him when the job is done.
