Karmageddon

Karmageddon gathers short stories about the odd contradictions of everyday existence. Many of them weave in real facts from science and history, then send the reader in unexpected, often comic directions, through the workings of the mind and well past them. Mixing the author's own experiences with documented research keeps each story hard to predict.

Take ERECTUS, which examines intermarriage from the perspective of a Neanderthal husband whose wife is German. The tale starts from a striking biological point: up to four percent of people of non-African ancestry alive today carry Neanderthal DNA. From that starting point, the story builds an inventive, playful relationship in which scientific fact and imagination become one and the same.
