Killing Moon
About This Book
Two young women have vanished in Oslo. The only thing linking them is a party they both attended, thrown by a notorious real-estate magnate. When one of them turns up dead, the police find a strange mark left behind by the killer, and it convinces them he is not finished. The detective best suited to a case like this is Harry Hole, but he is no longer on the force. Dismissed from the police, he has been drinking himself numb in Los Angeles, and nothing seems able to pull him back to Norway. Then the woman who once saved his life is placed in serious danger, and Harry has to go back to the city that haunts him and hunt the murderer himself. Working from the outside, Harry cannot do this alone. He gathers a group of former investigators, none of them conventional choices, to help him chase a killer who seems impossible to stop. The case takes a heavy toll on him, and as the evidence piles up it becomes clear that something larger is going on beneath the surface. This is a Harry Hole novel by Jo Nesbø, a dark Oslo crime story built around a serial killer and a damaged investigator pushed to his limit.
