Knitstrips

Knitstrips is a knitting book told in comic-strip form. It offers 22 original patterns along with clear knitting instruction, plenty of humor, and advice mixed with wry commentary. Alice Ormsbee Beltran and Karen Kim Mar created the strips, and artists Michele Phillips and Laura Irrgang illustrated them in full-color comic panels.

The strips first appeared in 2016 on the popular knitting site Modern Daily Knitting, where they quickly gathered thousands of devoted fans.

The book is laid out like a bound collection of comic books. Each issue has its own cover and a wry theme that knitters will recognize, such as yarn stashes or binge knitting. Every issue contains four to six patterns, along with designer highlights, stories and technical discussions.
