Last Call

The A-Team is struggling through the opening half of the tribulation. James, who commands all the armies and sits in the inner circle around Nefas Quietus, has started to notice odd shifts in Nef's character, and he has come to believe Nef is not the person he presents himself to be. Being recalled to duty has also exposed James to the end-times teachings of his closest friend, Chris.

James has quietly expanded his secret work alongside his son Brad, who shares leadership of the Smyrna church with CJ. Nef calls this congregation the undergrounders. Earlier, James organized the defense of the western community as the four horses, the seven seals and six of the seven trumpets were unleashed. He also plays the part of Judas among Nef's twelve disciples. Nef is relentlessly hunting the undergrounders' leaders, and James fears for his family's safety as a result.

Cindy has also seen Nef change. His sudden flashes of rage and his grandiose manner leave her uneasy, but her devotion to him holds firm, and she remains a loyal member of his inner circle. Aaron has led his people in constructing the Temple and keeps his seat in the Israeli Knesset, where he regards Nef as a friend of Israel.

Chris, who was raptured, now lives in Heaven. He has asked Jesus for a role in bringing prophecy to pass and for help leading the rest of the A-Team to understand that eternal life comes only through Jesus, the true Christ. The story picks up where The Rise of Abaddon left off, with CJ answering God's call to a mission in Israel, and it carries Revelation toward its full completion.
