Legacy

Long-dormant plasmoids, ancient machines that are also alive, have begun to stir and move on their own after thousands of years of stillness. Nobody knows why, and the reasons are a puzzle to humanity. The scientist Holati Tate was the one who found them, and then he vanished.

Trigger Argee worked most closely with Tate, and she is determined to track him down. She is highly capable and trained in a wide range of martial arts. Several rival factions in this murky struggle would pay handsomely for her, whether she is alive or dead. As she digs deeper, she begins to suspect that the Masters of the Old Galaxy, who disappeared long ago, had good reason to banish the plasmoids to the farthest, most isolated world they knew.
