Leighton U

Leighton U is a fake-dating romance told from the point of view of someone who has spent the past year living with Camden Steele, and found it miserable. Camden is more court jester than NHL-bound goalie, and he cares only about hockey and hook-ups.

His careless playboy lifestyle has finally caught up with him. He needs a tutor, and he needs a major boost to his reputation. As it happens, the narrator could use a fake boyfriend, so the two strike a deal.

Having hated hockey for a whole lifetime makes the arrangement a tough sell at first, but the harder part is admitting that, despite being opposites in many ways, the two are not so different. Somewhere between the study sessions and the shared secrets, the pretense turns into the most real thing the narrator has ever known, unless the lies end it before it can truly begin.
