Lethal Legacy 2

Baltimore homicide detective Andrew Martin has spent twelve of his seventeen years in law enforcement with the city's police force. Most days he enjoys the work, but a run of unsolved killings has become a personal torment, and the tenth victim has pushed him close to his limit. The dead share a troubling pattern. Each was a healthy young man who had been drained of blood, and each bore paired puncture wounds, apparently made by wide-bore needles, with bright red lipstick smeared around them. A basic profile suggests the killer is a woman between twenty-five and thirty-five, white, and well above average in intelligence, which is unusual for a serial killer of her sex. The case looks impossible to crack until Agent Amelia joins the investigation and the search takes a new turn. The book asks who this vampire killer is and what follows once the hunt begins.
