Lights Out

Lights Out is one man's account of gradually losing his sight and of his determination to go on living a normal life. Laxmi Subramani suffers from Retinitis Pigmentosa, an incurable condition that slowly takes away vision. He describes how the loss progressed, how disorienting it was at first, and how he found his way through it. The book looks closely at the difficulty of keeping up an ordinary life with a disability. It is meant to be inspiring, showing how a weakness can be turned into a source of strength.
