Lights Out

Piper has spent years devoted to business and now feels ready to put herself first and enjoy life a little. When Joe walks into Lights Out Coffee, the shop she runs, their easy flirtation quickly becomes something more. Before anything can begin, however, her father phones with news that upends her plans. His third wife has left him, and he asks Piper to look after her two youngest daughters, her half sisters.

Piper is not prepared for a life with two children in her care, but she takes on the role and settles into a new routine with the girls. She has no idea that Joe has been raising his nephew for the past two years. When she spots him at the children's school, she is caught off guard. Over the school year they reconnect, team up to handle their responsibilities, and build a real friendship.

As they spend more time together, the attraction they felt at the start grows stronger. They begin to wonder whether a family and a romance can coexist for them.
