Lions

Lions is a photo-led introduction to the second-largest cats in the world, written for young readers. It opens by asking where lions are found, where their cubs stay, and which is faster, a lion or a lioness. Valerie Bodden explains where lions live, how they look, how much time they spend sleeping and playing, and more. The colour photographs and facts feature African and Asian lions, males and females, at play and at rest. The book ends with a folktale about why lions roar.
