About this book
Hailey Fitzpatrick is a clinical psychologist in New York City, close to finishing her first decade of licensed practice. Strangers on the sidewalk shout insults at her, and she just smiles and keeps walking because she has clients who need her. Life is going well, but she still gets an itch that the tattoos on her skin only partly ease. When one of her early clients goes on suicide watch and a new challenge shakes her professional footing, she looks for the kind of relief only being blindfolded and bound can give her.
Arlo Judge lets people look but never touch. He is six foot three, around 215 pounds of muscle, and owns some of the largest conglomerates in the country. Even so, the frightened boy he once was still lives inside him, and one demon in particular hovers over his shoulder, ready to strike. When he first sees Hailey he notices only her poised, commanding surface. Then he spots the demons behind her green eyes, and he becomes intrigued, hooked and obsessed. He wants to know where they came from and how she hides them so well, and he wants to dig them out and set her free. He never expected that she might do the same for him.
