Lorraine

Lorraine and her grandfather, whom she calls Pa Paw, fill their days with the tunes of the Tennessee hills. He plays the harmonica and she plays the pennywhistle, and together the two feel ready to face nearly anything.

When a frightening storm rolls in and their instruments vanish, Lorraine must search within herself to find the music that can carry them through. The story is an Americana tale about the strength that music and family can give a person.

Ketch Secor, founder of Old Crow Medicine Show and a Grammy-winning musician, wrote the book, and Higgins Bond, an Ashley Bryan Award winner, illustrated it.
