Lost on Mars

A trio of explorers from other planets make their way to the yardangs of Mars, long ridges of rock that wind has carved over many centuries. Their plans go awry when the portable device they use to find their way is damaged. Stranded in harsh terrain, the crew must lean on what they know about how animals navigate. While the team considers its options, Malcolm sketches the ridges and pictures them as a hideout for the predators that roam the planet.

Alongside the story, the graphic novel shares facts about Mars and practical survival tips. It also explores animal adaptation and behavior in depth, weaving real science into the adventure.

The back matter offers an activity page and information about the characters.
