Love, Clancy

Love, Clancy, also published as Love, Diary of a Good Dog, is a novel by W. Bruce Cameron, the author of A Dog's Purpose and A Dog's Way Home. It features an entirely new cast of characters, led by a dog named Clancy.

Clancy keeps a diary. He is falling in love, he has rivals for the one he adores, and he shares a home with both his best friend and his worst enemy. None of that would be remarkable except that Clancy is a dog, which gives him a rather different view of things. His worst enemy is a very disdainful cat.

The people around him are all trying to manage life, love, and the other pets in the house, sometimes together and sometimes separately. Things start to spin hilariously out of control, and it is hard to keep track of it all. Clancy's observations help, because he has a good sense of what actually matters.
