Lover Unleashed

Payne is a fierce fighter and the twin sister of Vishous, one of the Black Dagger Brothers. When a grave injury threatens her life, the vampires turn to an unlikely source of help: Manuel Manello, a gifted human surgeon whose skill may be the only thing standing between her and death. The pull between patient and surgeon is immediate, and it is as dangerous as it is intense. Manuel has stepped into a hidden world he never knew existed, and Payne must decide how far she can trust someone from outside it. As the human and vampire worlds collide, an old grudge from centuries past comes back to claim her. Payne and Manuel now face a threat that could cost them their future together and their lives. This is the ninth novel in J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series.
