Lyrebird

In the south-west of Ireland, rugged mountains meet bright blue lakes and thick forests. Deep in those woods, a young woman named Laura lives alone, cut off from the world. Her life is a closely kept secret, and she has an extraordinary talent unlike anything anyone has seen before. It will earn her the nickname Lyrebird.

When Solomon stumbles into her solitary existence, everything changes. Laura is taken from the peace of the landscape she knows to the clamour of Dublin, where she finds herself faced with a world desperate to understand her.

Solomon knows the world will embrace her, but will it let her spread her wings, or trap her in a gilded cage? Like any wild bird, she needs to fly free. Lyrebird is a thoughtful and deeply moving love story, and also a story of the wild heart in all of us and the quiet that lies beneath the world's noise.
