MAGIC MASH

Magic Mash is a children's story about a boy named Kevin and his helping of mashed potato. The potato swells up, begins to speak and offers him wishes. Kevin makes plans to ask it for plenty of exciting things, but he has not counted on his grandfather, who uses up all the magic without telling him. The book is by Peter Firmin, the illustrator and designer who, with Oliver Postgate, created the television characters Bagpuss and the Clangers.
