Marcel Dzama

This exhibition catalogue from Rizziero Arte Gallery gathers the work of Marcel Dzama, whose figurative drawings borrow the look of 1940s posters. The imagery feels strange and offbeat, with a quietly unsettling sense that something is slightly out of place.

The book is built in two halves. One half holds drawings reproduced on heavy, matte Naples yellow paper. The other holds loose, cartoonish sketches printed on matte laminated stock, surrounded by more text than the drawings in the first half. Because each half can open the book, you can start from either end by turning it over.
