Masterplots, Various Editions

Masterplots is a plot-summary reference set for works of literature, compiled by Frank N. Magill and issued by Salem Press. The first version was a fifteen-volume set released in 1964. An eight-volume library edition followed in 1968, and a Revised Edition appeared in 1976.

Each edition collects summaries of literary works in one place, so students and librarians can look up a book's plot without reading the whole text.
