Max, the Sequel

Posing as a contented gay couple, Robert Montagnet and Dan Cooper have settled into a waterfront condo in a busy tourist district of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Appearances are all they have, since the two are hiding from the law.

Five months into their flight, Dr. Crane is nearing his limit and wants the ordeal to end. His mental and physical health is slipping. He cannot speak the local language, depends on his partner Max for everything, and feels caged in, though Max prefers it that way. When an opportunity comes up to clear his name for good, Crane feels pulled to take it, but doing so would mean betraying the young man who holds him in a grip he never imagined a person could have. Can Crane break free of that hold, or has he already sunk too deep to find his way out?
