Meet Cute Magic

Rosie Mayfield owns a bookstore in Heartwood Hollow and is a witch under a family curse: she cannot fall in love without having her heart broken. Determined to end it, she conjures a ghost who can lift the curse, though the help has a price. She must brew a potion that lets him cross over to the other side.

The trouble is that the one person in town who can help her finish the task is the one person who can't stand her. Jack Haggerty, the ghost's grandson, has complained about Rosie for years. He considers her a disaster, and she is banned from his gaming shop. Jack does not believe in ghosts, so he is shocked when his beloved grandfather appears. He loves his family and will do whatever it takes to help his grandpa, but he fights the chemistry growing between him and Rosie for as long as he can.

Eventually Jack no longer wants to go through with the plan, though he has no idea how to say so. Rosie, for her part, refuses to admit she is falling for him, since the two seem doomed from the start. This is a cozy, witchy enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance, suited to readers of Sydney J. Shields' The Honey Witch and Sarah Beth Durst's The Spellshop.
