Menopause brings hot flashes and vaginal atrophy, and it carries a lingering social stigma. This comics collection takes those physical and social realities head on, asking readers to look at the subject directly rather than through jokes.

The anthology gathers work from prominent cartoonists, including Lynda Barry, Joyce Farmer, Ellen Forney, and Carol Tyler. Together they push back against the shallow, punchline-driven way menopause is usually portrayed, as an embarrassing subject to be hushed up or laughed off.

The contributors speak from many different positions, with varied life experiences, ages, gender identities, ethnic backgrounds, and health conditions.
