Mesopotamia

Students will be enchanted by the ancient civilizations of the Sumerians and Babylonians. This book uses interesting facts and data about the Mesopotamian world to teach students how to create and solve word problems. Students will learn about ziggurats, the city-state of Ur, the Babylonian ruler Sargon I, the ancient Cuneiform writing system, and the early calendar system. Using new facts, students are prompted to construct and solve their own word problems.
