Middle School Bites

Just before starting middle school, eleven-year-old Tom was bitten by a vampire, a werewolf and a zombie, which left him as the world's only Vam-Wolf-Zom. Being part monster did not get him out of sixth grade, so he still has to face ordinary school life. This book continues the series and brings back both Tom and the zombie who bit him.

Tom's monster troubles are not over. He accidentally stirred up drama between the vampire and the werewolf who bit him, so he now has to keep out of their way. The zombie, on the other hand, turns out to be a genuinely nice guy. Even so, a friendly monster is little help with the unwritten rules of sixth grade, and Tom is largely on his own.

He has to handle arguments in his band, a bully who has suddenly started acting friendly, and even a first kiss. Cartoon-style illustrations appear on every spread. The author is an Emmy-nominated writer who has worked on SpongeBob, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron and CatDog. The series is aimed at fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Last Kids on Earth.
