This Freestyle Express series parallels the existing Freestyle titles, using simplified text, making it easy for less confident readers to follow. Fun facts and famous discoveries add fun to the curriculum, attracting extra attention from readers interested in the topic outside of the classroom. Full colour photographic examples of rock types to help readers identify types of rocks and group characteristics, as well as human uses for each. Diagrams, illustrations and charts demonstrate concepts and characteristics to engage readers and re-iterate learning points throughout the text.
