Mismatched

Evan Horowitz is a teen Instagram influencer with good looks, sharp grades, and a gift for makeup. He also has a barely hidden passion for matchmaking, and he has often played cupid for friends who cannot work out love on their own. This graphic novel is a queer, modern retelling of Jane Austen's Emma, moved to a high school in Queens, New York.

When Natalia, a shy transfer student, arrives at school, Evan cannot resist getting involved. There are plenty of possible matches to choose from, and he quickly puts a plan in motion for her, even though his level-headed best friend, Davi, thinks it is a bad idea.

Evan goes too far, and the drama he stirs up spins out of his control. He has to figure out whether he can put the people closest to him ahead of his misguided ambition, or whether he will lose them, and any chance at romance of his own, in the process.
