Mixed Up

Reef and Theo cannot explain what is happening to them. Without warning, each boy is hit by fleeting glimpses of memories that plainly belong to someone else, while the memories that make up his own past start to slip away. Reef is especially shaken, because the recollections of his mother are the only pieces of her he still has. Theo finds an unexpected upside in the borrowed memories, which give him a freedom that is hard to come by under his father's heavy control.

The novel is by Gordon Korman, the author of Restart.
