Moonlight Road

Erin Foley is thirty-five and suddenly has nothing to manage. Her younger siblings are grown and doing well, so she rents a remote cabin near Virgin River to step away from her routine and focus on her own needs. The cabin has modern comforts, since rustic living is not her style.

Her neighbor appears to be a rugged, bearded man in worn army-style clothing, but Aiden Riordan is a doctor taking a summer break after leaving the navy. Erin's quiet routine of meditating and keeping a journal keeps him at a careful distance, and he is drawn to her polished, somewhat reserved manner. His rough appearance and a difficult ex-wife stand between him and the closeness he wants.

Virgin River has a reputation for unexpected romance, and friends in town are happy to nudge things along. This is the sixth book in Robyn Carr's Virgin River series, the basis for the Netflix show.
