MOTE

Davorin Mote is a field officer with the Galactic Police Force, and he is now in position above Earth for his 381st first-contact mission. Humanity is locked in a nuclear standoff, unexpected weapons have begun to appear, and an order has come down from the galactic center. He has twenty-four hours to decide whether to save humanity or bring it to an end.
