Mouse Tales

Papa Mouse has seven little boys, and when they ask him for a bedtime story, a single tale won't do. He tells seven, so that every boy gets a story of his own.

Mouse Tales is by Arnold Lobel, who wrote and illustrated the Frog and Toad books, which received both Newbery Honor and Caldecott Honor awards.

The book is a Level Two I Can Read title, written for children who can read on their own but still like a bit of support. Its longer sentences, playful language and short, self-contained stories suit sharing at home or in a classroom, and they give young readers practice as they move toward more confident reading.
